     Filipinos are known to eat at least 3 meals a day plus snacks or merienda. While some people in other countries may prefer to eat burgers and pizzas, Filipinos on the other hand would go to the streets to satisfy their hunger for street food for a few pesos.
     Pinoy street foods are delicious, convenient, practical and best of all economical. With the increase in prices of basic food, street foods have now become part of the pinoy cuisine.

This Day in History: EDSA People Power Revolution

     February 25, 1986 marked a significant national event for every Filipinos – the EDSA Revolution: a peaceful cry for freedom. The People Power or EDSA Revolution was a series of non-violent demonstrations that started in 1983 with the assassination of Senator Benigno Aquino Sr. and culminated in 1986 with the overthrow of the Marcos regime. 

The Panagbenga Festival

     The Panagbenga Festival is a month long annual flower festival in Baguio, the summer capital of the Philippines. Panagbenga is a kankaney term for "a season of blooming". It is also known as the Baguio Flower Festival, a tribute to the city's beautiful flowers and a celebration of Baguio's re-establishment. Aside from the economic boosts from tourism, the festival also helped the younger generation of indigenous people to rediscover their culture's old traditions.

     The festival includes floral float parades, street dancing and Cańao, an Igorot dance of thanksgiving that originated from the Cordillera region.

17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival

The yearly colorful, fun-filled Clark Hot Air Balloon Festival is once again gracing the aviation field of the Clark Freeport. This venue is projected to host over 100,000 tourists from February 9th thru 12th 2012.
